On February 23, I had the opportunity to judge science projects at the junior division of the Austin Energy Regional Science Festival, which CompassLearning sponsored this year. Riley Johnson and Alina Gorniak, who are members of our science curriculum and instruction team, also volunteered as judges for the afternoon. After working on our new middle school science curriculum over the last two years, it was fantastic to have a chance to talk with middle school students who are excited about science and to get to see so many interesting projects. We even talked to a student who enjoys using our math and language arts software at their school, which is always nice to hear. Our congratulations to everyone who placed at the festival!
