After finishing her first training session at Hope of Life International, Millie takes a much deserved lunch break that involved natural lime/orange juice and Guatemalan cuisine. I am a huge fan of games. Here are some things I learned by playing the computer game SimCity 2000, when I was around 11 years old: what zoning is, and the difference between residential, industrial, and commercial zoning types what utilities cities provide, and how utilities have to be connected to all areas of [...]
Oh, yeah. And technology will replace teachers in the classroom. Does this break your heart as much as it breaks mine? When I think back to my favorite teacher, Mrs. Maurer, it reminds me why every time I see a wardrobe, I secretly hope the characters of Narnia will jump out. Mrs. Maurer is also the reason I plan on owning a yellow barn cat and a little pug a someday; I’ll name them Milo and Otis. She had passion; and with that passion she possessed the willingness to adjust for the sake of her students.
