Compass Learning® Classroom Refresh Contest Set to Enter Submission Phase


Beginning this Friday, September 19, contestants may submit their music videos for a chance to win a classroom edtech makeover worth up to $70,000 in the Classroom Refresh Contest sponsored by Compass Learning® Three grand prizes will be awarded, one each for grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12.

Prize packages for elementary and middle school winners will include annual site license subscriptions for Compass Learning Pathblazer™ reading and math intervention solution software or Hybridge™ blended learning solution software, plus Renzulli Learning™ project-based learning and enrichment solution software. In addition, Compass Learning will provide FastTrack™ Implementation training and two days of professional development, 25 Google® Chromebooks™, and the Compass Learning/NWEA™ test translator service.

From partner Education Elements™, winners will receive school-wide annual licenses for the Launchpad digital content platform, including single student sign-on and account provisioning for the more than 30 digital content providers in the EdElements partner ecosystem, virtual Launchpad training for building faculty and administrators via webinar, access to the online G+ community for best practice sharing, locked-in renewal rates, discounted upgrades, and admission to the Education Elements Personalized Learning Academy.

Partner SMART® Technologies will award a SMART Board model 685 with a UF65w projector and SMART Notebook™, a year’s subscription to SMART amp™, and a year’s access to the SMART Notebook Advantage support portal.

Partner NWEA™ is offering MAP® assessments to the winning classroom, with access to an online MAP administration workshop and an onsite reports workshop.

The winning high school entry will receive the prizes above but substituting a choice of Compass Learning® High School ELA/Social Studies or Math/Science solutions bundles, plus a choice of Spanish, French, German, or Mandarin language packages, including one teacher annual license and ten student annual licenses, plus three hours of web-based training from partner Middlebury Interactive Languages™.

Entries will be accepted through October 24. As entries flow in, look for videos to be posted to the contest web site, where you’ll also find contest details and the official rules. Winners will be selected via a combination of our stellar panel of judges and a vote of the public. This should be a blast—stay tuned!
